KENYA HONEYMOON
11-Day Luxury Wildlife Safari and Beach Holiday
There’s no better way to celebrate each other than with a romantic Kenya photo safari and beach trip. On this luxury holiday, you’ll visit three exclusive camps/resorts in three wonderful destinations: Meru National Park (home of Born Free’s Elsa the lioness); the world-famous Masai Mara; and Kinondo Kwetu, a secluded Indian Ocean retreat.

DAY 1 – NAIROBI: Arrive Nairobi. You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to Ngong House. Overnight here.

DAYS 2, 3, & 4 – MERU NATIONAL PARK: After an early breakfast, fly to Meru National Park and enjoy three days exploring this safari gem. Meals and overnights at Elsa’s Kopje. (B, L, D, Dr)

Kenya’s best kept secret for many years, the untamed wilderness of Meru National Park is best explored from its hidden jewel – Elsa’s Kopje. Made famous by the film ‘Born Free’ and George Adamson’s lions, the lodge is invisible to the eye as you approach the kopje. Each of the 9 individually built cottages are luxuriously appointed, and here you’ll find the ultimate ‘room with a view.’ Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, game walks, sundowners and swimming in the pool.

DAYS 5, 6, & 7 – MASAI MARA:  Fly to the Masai Mara to enjoy three days at Cottars Camp, a 1920’s-style,  luxury tented camp on the edge of the Masai Mara. Here, you can view abundant game and enjoy game drives, nature walks, drinks around the campfire, and a cozy tent—one of just six here. Meals and overnights at Cottars Camp. (B, L, D, Dr)

The Masai Mara is the best known game reserve in Kenya, famous for its abundance of wildlife and seasonally, the great wildebeest migration. Located in the Masai Mara, Cottars Camp is within a 22,000 acre exclusive concession. This 1920’s camp experience returns to the original spirit and essence of ‘safari’, reminiscent of a golden bygone era, an era of romance, adventure and elegance.

DAYS 8, 9, & 10 – GALU BEACH: After an early lunch, you will be transferred to Keekorok airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ukunda. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Kinondo Kwetu. Meals and overnights at Kinondo Kwetu. (B, L, D, Dr)

Located on a tranquil private beach south of Diani, Kinondo Kwetu is classified as a "Kaya? area (protected by the National Museum) due to its surrounding holy forests and sacred land. Kinondo’s various forms of accommodation are all surrounded by green shady gardens, and just a few steps from the white sandy beach. In addition to relaxing in the sun and swimming in the Indian Ocean, Kinondo Kwetu offers a range of activities (not included) – from water-sports such as kite surfing, deep sea fishing and scuba diving, to land activities such as game drives, horse riding and yoga.
