contribute are the hallmarks of this fantastic tour.
AfricAid is a nonprofit organization that supports girls’ education in
Africa in order to provide young women with the opportunity to transform
their own lives and the futures of their communities.
DAY 1 – ARUSHA: Upon arrival in
Arusha, Tanzania and after clearing customs and immigration at Kilimanjaro
International Airport, you will be met by a local representative and transferred
to your hotel in Arusha. Overnight at The Arusha Hotel. (D)
The
Arusha Hotel has played a leading role in Tanzania's colorful history
and continues to be Arusha’s iconic and best-loved luxury hotel. Arusha
town grew up around The Arusha Hotel, which still stands amidst its own
private tropical gardens. Beautifully landscaped, the rolling lawns,
abundant trees and exotic plants are home to many of East Africa’s rich
birdlife.
DAY 2 – ARUSHA: After breakfast,
drive to Upendo Primary School in Usa River, an AfricAid beneficiary school. Here,
you will meet Joseph, the headmaster at Upendo. Tour the school and participate
in a school activity followed by lunch. After lunch, walk to a home of one of
the students, where you will meet the family and learn about real life in
Tanzania. Later, return to the hotel and enjoy dinner with the AfricAid staff.
Overnight at The Arusha Hotel. (B, L, D)
DAY 3 – ARUSHA: After breakfast,
visit the AfricAid office followed by lunch on the beautiful grounds. In the

to The Arusha Hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)
DAY 5 – ARUSHA / MONDULI: After
breakfast, drive to Monduli, a rural town west of Arusha. After lunch, you will
have the opportunity to teach a KISA lesson at a local secondary school with our
KISA scholar mentors. Dinner and overnight at your private luxury camp in
Monduli. (B, L, D, Dr)
Your private mobile campsite will
provide an authentic safari experience; it enables you to become part of
the environment you wish to enjoy. Each sleeping tent consists of a
bedroom, a dressing area, and a separate shower and toilet. The dressing
area, shower and toilet are all “open air” so as to heighten the
experience of living as one with your surroundings. Each tent has enough
power for lighting, as well as for charging mobile telephones, cameras, laptop computers, etc. The ‘mess’ tent provides comfortable dining and
recreation for those moments when you are not out and about exploring
the area and viewing the wildlife and birdlife. Spend your evenings
around the all-important camp fire exchanging stories about the day’s
events.
DAY 6 – MONDULI: After breakfast,
enjoy a walk around Monduli, including a visit to Moringe, Maasai Girls &
Engutoto secondary schools. Picnic lunch at the school. Return to your private
luxury camp for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D, Dr)

herds of elephants, plus great sightings of animals such as buffalo, zebras,
lions and much more. Meals and overnights at Oliver’s Camp. (B, L, D,
Dr)
Located in the middle of the Tarangire wilderness,
Oliver’s Camp has one of the most wonderful settings one could imagine
and offers an unparalleled bush experience. The camp features only 8
beautifully furnished guest tents with solid wooden furniture, beautiful
cloth and gorgeous warm showers that can be taken under the Tarangire
sky. Every evening, guests relax or read in the lounge and library tent,
or drink sundowners at the fireplace, from which superb views of
landscape and sunset can be enjoyed.

After breakfast, depart Tarangire with picnic lunches and a short game drive
through the park. Continue on to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for
tree-climbing lions, as well as the thousands of flamingos that inhabit the lake
shore. After a game drive in Lake Manyara, drive into the lush, beautiful
Ngorongoro Highlands and arrive at your lodge for dinner. Overnight at
Plantation Lodge. (B, L, D)
Like a green oasis, Plantation
Lodge rests on the soft, red-brown hills amidst the vastness and silence
of East Africa. The individually furnished rooms and suites, melting
harmoniously into the flowering garden, offer comfort and relaxation.
The lodges' 16 rooms lie generously distributed throughout the flowering
garden.
