Before or after your World Cup matches, enjoy three great regions of Southern Africa including Zululand, Swaziland and the Manyaletti Game Reserve near Kruger. Designed for those interested in both wildlife and culture, this tour utilizes self-drive rental cars, plus guided safari experiences.
Day 1 – DURBAN/KWAZULU: Pick up your rental car at the Durban airport. From here you will self drive to Zululand (approx. 3.5 hours). Vehicle is Group C, VW Polo Classic or similar, Unlimited mileage with Classic Max Insurance. Overnight Ghost Mountain Inn. (meals on own)

Day 4 – KWAZULU/SWAZILAND: Self drive to Swaziland (approx. 5.5 hours). Overnight Reilly’s Rock Lodge in a Cottage. (B)
Formally the home of Mickey Reilly, one of Swaziland’s earliest white settlers and a highly entrepreneurial man, the house has remained in the family and has recently been transformed into a unique hilltop lodge tastefully decorated in keeping with its colonial roots by Swaziland’s leading conservation team, Ted and Liz Reilly. Notwithstanding the necessary subtle additions and renovations, the house still stands as it was built almost a century ago. Reilly’s Rock is steeped in intriguing history, the main building was built of stone in exchange for an ox-wagon in the early 1900’s, encompassing Swaziland, conservation in the Kingdom and the Reilly family.
Days 5-6 – SWAZILAND: Enjoy two more days exploring the area on your own. Walking trails, mountain biking and self-drive game viewing available. Overnights Reilly’s Rock Lodge. (B)
Day 7 – SWAZILAND/MPUMALANGA: Self drive to Mpumalanga (approx. 5 hours). Overnight Rissington Inn. (B)
Days 8-9 – KRUGER/MANYALETI: Self drive to Kruger (approx. 2.5 hours). Overnights Honeyguide Mantobeni. Rate includes all meals, local drinks, game drives and foot safaris. (B, L, D, Dr)
Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is designed to reflect Hemingways’ Africa, this 12 tented camp is nestled in a Tamboti grove overlooking a dry river bed. The reception areas comprise a large sitting area, indoor and outdoor areas, bar and climate controlled wine cellar. Game visiting the nearby watering hole can be seen from the swimming pool deck adjoining the reception areas. The tents are comfortably furnished with king-sized beds and soft leather couches. Each tent leads onto its own bathroom with concrete bath, double shower and separate toilet.
Day 10 – FLIGHTS/CAPE TOWN: Self drive to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport where you’ll drop off your rental car for your outbound flight. END OF SERVICES (B)
