Day 1 – ARUSHA: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport. After clearing customs and immigration, you’ll be met and driven to Arusha Coffee Lodge. Overnight here. (airline meals)
Days 2 - 3 – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK: Fly from Arusha to the Lake Manyara airstrip and game-drive to Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Here you’ll spend two nights in a stilted treehouse nestled in boughs of mahogany trees. The landscape affords wildlife viewing of numerous bird and mammal species that you will enjoy on both game-drives and nature walks. With an intimate knowledge of their land, Maasai askaris will guide your nature walks through forests, along riverbanks and down to the lakeshore. (B, L, D, Dr)
Days 4 - 6 – SERENGETI: After breakfast, drive to the Lake Manyara airstrip for your flight to the Serengeti, the most famous park in the world. Upon landing, you’ll be transferred to Klein’s Camp, a luxurious property with 10 cottages just outside Serengeti National Park on its own private concession. Here, enjoy morning and afternoon game-drives, nature walks and plenty of VIP treatment, including breakfast in bed and special private dinners under the stars. Day 7 – NGORONGORO CRATER: After breakfast, you’ll fly from the Serengeti to the Lake Manyara airstrip. Upon landing, you’ll drive through the agricultural region of the Ngorongoro highlands to spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy a free afternoon at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, the most luxurious lodge in Tanzania. Dinner and overnight here. (B, L, D, Dr)
Day 8 – NGORONGORO CRATER: Have breakfast, then a full day game drive in the crater with picnic lunch. Here, you’ll have the chance to see the Big 5—lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and black rhinos—in addition to many other species. In the evening, return to the lodge for a sundowner overlooking the caldera. Dinner and overnight here. (B, L, D, Dr)
Day 9 – ARUSHA: Enjoy an early breakfast before you are transferred to the Lake Manyara airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha. Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home. (B)
