Denver-based Africa Adventure Consultants is a boutique safari operator organizing adventures throughout East and Southern Africa, with destinations including Tanzania, Kenya, Namibia,Botswana, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Victoria Falls. Founded by Kent Redding and Kelly McElroy after living and working in East Africa for years, the company only sells destinations they know personally and offer guests assurance of strong on-the-ground partnerships with only the best local companies. Africa Adventure Consultants supports a variety of African conservation organizations, community-based tourism programs and humanitarian causes. With an eye on personal service, the principals create customized trips for individuals and small groups.

The selection of these partners is an involved process to ensure that the sustainable travel principles of Africa Adventure Consultants are being met. All partners must:
• Employ local people and offer solid training and education programs for these employees.
• Institute and maintain business practices that minimize negative impacts on the environment and promote healthy and responsible use of resources.
• Provide environmentally-friendly accommodations that utilize conservation methods such as solarpowered lights and local, low-impact construction materials.
• Procure supplies from local sources thereby supporting the local economy.

DENVER, CO (August 16, 2006) – Denver-based Africa Adventure Consultants applauds the governments of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique for plans to open the borders of three Southern Africa parks to create Africa’s largest transfrontier conservation area. The presidents of these three nations officially opened a new border crossing today in a small but significant step toward creating the "world's greatest animal kingdom" -- a huge reserve spanning the three countries.
