We bring you this awesome series of photos from Steve Webster and our friends at Wilderness Safaris.

This spectacular sighting took place from the deck at Shumba Camp on the Busanga Plains in Kafue National Park, Zambia. The lions regularly kill both puku and red lechwe in the immediate vicinity of camp. In this case we were fortunate to spot this lioness expertly stalking a red lechwe ram through some longer grass close to camp while we enjoyed afternoon tea. Day time stalks have low chances of success in most places so we were thrilled to be able to watch a successful hunt by a formidable lioness from start to finish and to be able to capture it on film.
